How to: removing front axle on XJ Cherokee
Hey Guys,
Tried to post this in the how to section but it wouldn't let me for some reason but anyway. I made a video on how to remove the from axle on an XJ jeep so I hope it helps anyone that needs or wants to do it themselves. Le me know if you have any questions or any info on how I can post in the right section next time. Enjoy!

Yea, that's more a U tube thing or goes in "write-ups". BTW to free the hub, (about 3 min in your vid), you put a long 3/8 extension in the hole and against the frame and use the power steering to press it out.

I believe what you called the control arm is the steering knuckle. The control arms are those bars that connect the axle to the frame.
Also, I like to take the axle nut off while the XJ is still on ground, having the tire help with leverage and using a 48 in breaker bar.

You're right what I should have said was tie rod but I misspoke and didn't catch it during editing lol still getting used to explaining everything I do.
That's s pretty good idea if you don't have an impact gun handy. I would have done that but the impact took it off in like 2 seconds.

Doing it alone I once bent my 3/8 extension, didn't even try beating on the bolt. (with a helper you can position it better) Sounds like that's worth a shot though! Those in the Midwest might end up using the hydraulics though......
