Default how to properly bleed clutch??

How do you properly bleed the clutch on a renix 4.0 ..Ive always used the pump mehtod but im told this is a bad thing to do? can anyone fill me in please

I assume you have the internal slave so its just like bleeding your brakes. pump, hold, open the bleeder.

The external slaves are trickier
