Fixing a Jeep is a never-ending process and you should know that by now. My 2000 WJ was pretty easy to maintain with mostly engine and drivetrain parts needed up until 250K miles, but now it's the electrical things that are the problem. Basically the wiring and connectors getting corroded. The astonishing thing is my fuel pump is original after 258K and all I had to do recently was clean the pump connector. Oh, wait! Now that I said that, it's gonna fail! I can feel it! I have also replaced every door latch in it already at least once! It also needs a Fluid Film dip tank!
So I pulled the trigger on the TPS. Just under $71 with shipping and tax from RockAuto. Did use the 5% Promo Code.
Real Mopar one. Made in Mexico.
Now this is for my '00 XJ. The part number in my parts catalog is 4874371.
According to my dealership that part has been superseded by 68433984AA.
Which is the part number on the bag from RockAuto.
Thinking you can still find them under the old number and frankly I only saved about $9 on it from the prices I saw at other sources.
So it does come with new torx and I have question.
Looks like a bit of red Loctite on the torx.
Do you think I should clean them and use a blue Loctite?
Or just leave them alone?
Also as per Randy's post I started poking around.
I did find a an NTK Map Sensor that I do believe to be correct for my Jeep.
Part number MA0114.
But nothing from NTK/NGK in the way of a IAC though.
At least not yet. LOL.
