well just did this, and i guess its only for when the car is on lol.
anyone got something similar that is able to be turned on while the car is off without the chance of backfeeding when the car is on if i put the switch to manual on?
if you dont understand that, i want a auto fan, and manual on fan. i want the manual on fan to be able to be switched on when the jeep is off.

Yup I did it, find the greenish wire right on the fans wireing itself hook on to it with a single wire snap on connector, then run that wire to a 30-40 amp relay and hook up wires the way it tells you in the directions it will go like this from the fan wiring to the relay to the battery to a heavy duty switch and all your grounds the relay will have the direction in it if you get a good one.I got a 40 amp relay and a heavy duty lighted switch at advanced auto all this stuff is in the electrical isle not behind the counter. Relay small sqaure black box with 4 prongs.12 awg wire,h/d lighted switch light to see when its on or off ,soider all connections.Let me know if you need more help its easy if you get directions with the relay if not I will post the direction just let me know.

get one of these.... you stick probe in radiator... and adjust to what ever temp you want fan to come on at... you can wire it up to work only when key on or just hook right to battery with a fuse ofcourse... they work great.. have used them many times
