That's where my 98 is. On a cold start up it'll be around the 1200 ish but it'll work its way down to 750 ish

Could a dirty IAC cause it to idle around 1200rpms in park after driving for awhile? I've got a cracked exhaust manifold too, for now.

cracked exhaust will cause the increase in idle, had mine welded and it is holding strong after it warms up the metal expands and leaks more and increases idle

Thats good to know--mine always idled LOW -but run good that way!!-- after I had some work done on it the idle was faster-I have noticed that with the idle runing faster that the temp runs a little bit hotter(not hot) but the lower the better--so I am hopeing my idle will go back down on its own after i drive it awhile!??
