how do you take wiper arm off?
Got a '99 XJ Classic. Wiper arm on driver side wipes fine, but slides up and down on the post as the arms pivot. I'd like to take the arm off to tighten somehow. Any idea how to do that? Thanks.

lol uhm is this really a question? older cars have a clip u pull off newer ones (like yours if it doesnt have a clip hanging off is just a nut...probably hidden under the black piece of plastic at the part the wiper bolts to cowl

Listen guys stop throwing the try searching before you post crap. If you are not interested in answering the question then do not post. Also getting an attitude and belittling someones question is completly unnecessary.

Lift the wiper arm up from the windshield, there should be a little tab on the side near the pivot, pull that tab out and let the wiper arm relax on the tab, now just pull up off of the pivot.

Once you get the arm off, there is a nut on the pivot under the cowl to tighten up.
