Well the OP isn't exactly being a ton of help. To figure out what a Multimeter is, all he would have to do is google it, but he's not even doing that much.

Seach bars are your friend, that's all I'm saying.

I just did a search here on Cherokee Forum, and I found this to ID your tranny:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/how...mission-22191/

If that one doesn't help, here's another one:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/199...ication-10291/

Also, you can bring your Jeep to Autozone and have them scan your computer for what engine code you have. From there, you can search the Forum for what needs to be replaced. If you can't find what you're looking for, then go right on ahead and shoot us with your question. Chances are one of us will know what your engine code means.

Here's a thread similar to yours that you might find useful. All i did was search "trans solenoid" and it was the first one to pop up:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/tra...ng-help-51328/

Judging by the different threads you've posted, you seem to have a lot of transmission problems. You might want to have a trusted mechanic take a look at it and diagnose what the problems are.

Hope I'm not coming off as a D-bag, but some things can be tackled in 30 seconds with a search.

Someone just posted the best writeup I've seen on solenoid changing:

Default is this for a 1999 grand cherokee limited as well ???

If transmission is aw4 removed transmission pan, solenoid #3 is torque Converter #2 &#1 controls 1st trough 4th OD, solenoids should read 11 to 15 ohms

I'll go ahead and suggest that you also should not be inside your transmission replacing parts that you don't know anything about.
