Sorry to hear about your situation! I have been fortunate enough to have never had a vehicle broken into or stolen (knock on wood). The Jeep and lifted Suburban are both one-of-a-kind and, thus, very easily identifiable, and I think that forces most thieves to find another vehicle that is less noticeable (for example: be on the look out for an ugly lifted desert tan Jeep Cherokee with winch and roof rack). I also use the Club in both vehicles, as it acts as a visual deterrent and it would probably take a few minutes for a thief to hack through an older metal steering wheel, as opposed to the foam ones found in newer vehicles. The Cobalt I am not worried about, as it is bone stock and has full-coverage insurance. I also do not keep anything of value in plain sight.

My buddy got his chevy avalanche stolen here in vegas, he got his alarm and wanted to bolt the hood down to make sure they could jump a relay to start it. i told him to bolt a piece of wire from the hood down to his differential.... he didnt quite get the joke.

That avatar of yours made me laugh out loud. Excellent. Where do you guys GET these things?
If an intruder survives the horses and cows and electric fence, they can have the Jeep. I'm most afraid of the cows. They're spooky at night. You do not want to meet an 1800 pound bull at 2 AM. Actually...you don't want to meet them ever unless they're on the plate in front of you.
But, for at the grocery store, you can't beat that KS to the fuel pump. I love that idea.
The kill switch is a great idea I personally would go with the starter because if you hook it up to the fuel pump and they do get it started it will run the truck dry of fuel. Not horrible for the truck but un needed stress on the fuel pump. Also I have a Viper 2 way paging alarm in my car and it was the best investment. Good luck with the rebuild.
