Default How do I "Trim" the fenders on my XJ??

How do I trim the fenders on my Cherokee XJ if I need too?? Remove the flares then trim?? Sawz all or Jig saw?? I'm doing a 2" Budget lift but my Rear springs are flat, will the helper springs help?? And I want to install 31 X 10.50 Mud terrain tires.....

IMHO, an angle grinder with a cut off wheel works best. Sawzalls are way too hard to do detail work with. I trimmed my first XJ with a sawzall, and it looked like poop on the end of a sharp stick!! The front you can trim as much as you feel comfortable with, but on the rear, don't go past the pinch weld. HTH!!
