i have an adjustable trcak bar with a tie rod that threads into it
it broke a week ago and im going to be putting a new end on it
is there a way to know how far i should thread the tie rod end in?
i have been driving it short distances because it is my daily driver
should i just straighten the steering wheel and go from there?

Sit the jeep on level ground without the trackbar attached. make sure the body is center over the axle (same amount of tire stick out on each side. Mount your trackbar axle end first the adjust it till it will align with the frame hole. Torque nut then add cotter key. Locktite and tighten the jam nut. Then i would get it alligned and they should be able to straighten your wheel

yea thats pretty much what i did, would it make any difference if i didnt get it dead center?
also, the track bar that is on it uses a stock jeep tie rod end.
I have never seen an aftermarket one that didnt have a larger end(thread Diameter)
Could it be off of a ZJ?
Could this be why i keep snapping the end off?

Its just a stock tie rod end like in the steering, even has the same part#
the jeep came lifted so i dont know who makes it, just that i keep breaking it
it is a skyjacker lift however, and i dont see how they wouldn't have a used the track bar from the lift(the skyjacker one uses a heim joint that has a thicker thread diamater, already ordered one and returned it)
i think it may be one off of a Grand Cherokee, do they have a replaceable end on them?
