1. soak everything in pb blaster

2.take the caliper off

3. then the rotor

4 then take the 3 bolts on the back of you unit bearings

5.gently tap the back of you unit bearing housing with a bfh[ it should pop out]

6 with you bfh tap downwards on the spindle, untill it pops of

7. if this happens

8. take a 3/4 breaker bar i think it was big. but any ways you take the socket connecting point put it on top and pound, you might have to grind some ball joint away

9. take the new one and get a big socket that will let the threads go threw. then pound it with a bfh sledge hammer. i know the proper way is a press when you don't have you improvise.

10. put it all back together

so total breakage at rc was a ujoint in the drive shaft and axle, lower driver side ball joint

Here's a trick I use to remove stubborn hubs. After you remove everything that needs to be removed, and the extension is in place, you can simply turn the steering wheel and the hub will pop right out.

Where's your safety glasses? I always wear mine and still get crap in my eyes. Be careful you've only got one pair, then it's darkness!

Three things...

A. Wear your damn safety glasses...

B. Your rotor is shot... Look at that groove.

C. I've seen some REALLY rusty hubs that the extension/steering pump trick doesn't work... And you dont want to be ANYWHERE near there if it doesn't. That extension becomes a missile...

Your trick is EN GENIUS! There I was banging away trying to get my hub off when I remembered seeing this. I gave it a shot, and I didn't even need power steering. Just a slight turn of the wheel and I heard this clunk sound, couldn't believe it, came RIGHT out!

THANKS!
