How do i clean this engine i was told to use degrease and let it sit then spray with a hose but then i was told not to spray the electrical cords how exactly does that work theres electrical wires everywhere? O and the part that looks like rust is just the brownish colored coolant that thee previous owner put in and it looks like it exploded and then the hood has something on it can i spray that too?

Cover distributor and throttle body sensors for sure!
They are both very sensitive to water intrusion and failure to protect them often results in a no-start.
The throttle position sensor is especially susceptible.
