Default Horn Wont Shut off #2...

Ok, so I did some more triage today on the horn not shutting off. Originally I ended up removing the horn relay to at least shut it off. Here's what else I did.
1. I checked the wiring harness, everything looks good, no melted wires.
2. Checked the radio, it works fine
3. checked the cruise control, it works fine too.
4. Swapped the horn relay with the one below it, and guess what? Horn works normally!!
5. put the old relay back in and Horn works normally again!!

So does this isolate it 100% to the Clockspring, or the Relay???

I guess i'll have to wait til it happens again and swap the relays and see if it goes away or not which should isolate it to the relay or clockspring.

Am I on the right track with my thinking and troubleshooting? I really don't like the idea of having to mess with the airbag and steering column.

Thanks for any input!

Default also

Also, if it is the clockspring, is it possible to be intermittent? I would think it either works or doesn't....

In your previous thread you said your blinkler would not cancel,if that is still the issue I think you will still have the problem with the horn. all that needs to happen is any part of the horn circuit going to ground in the colum for that to happen, the cancellation switch is part of the circuit. next time it happens see if swapping relays helps,or just run the new one, automotive electrical can be hard to trace at times.
