Default Horn wiring

Is the horn just one wire? I wanna make it longer to relocate the horn somewhere else and it just seems weird that it is just one wire in the plug. Electrical is my nemesis so this is probably a dumb question but I woukd like to be sure. Thanks guys

If it's just one wire, it grounds through the bracket to the chassis. I can't recall offhand if my '98 uses one wire or two, though I think it's the former.

That makes sense. So the wire on the plug is the positive wire to power. Just wanted to be sure

When the horn switch is closed, the wire provides a path to ground to activate the horn relay.

Yes. But the horn must be attached to the chassis for its ground.
