Default What parts companies did Jeep use on the 1996 Cherokee?

I'm having an issue with deciding on what brands to go with for these parts. I used to have a 1991 Camaro and I used ACDelco parts on it cause Chevy already used a lot of their parts from the factory and I was very satisfied how it turned out. I'm struggling with what to go with on my Cherokee cause I'm still new to this car. Should I just stick with ACDelco cause that's what I know,or is there something better that possibly was used in the factory?

Mopar stamped all their parts with the Chrysler Pentastar... maybe doing a reverse part number search would net you some results... with the factory radios, and possibly with some other parts (especially electronic parts), you'll find a Supplier Code on the I.D. sticker on the particular part.

I think Federal Mogul (MOOG) is/was an OEM supplier. Maybe the parent company of Crown is too?

Anyhow, I've had good luck with MOOG, Crown, and Omix-ADA parts. Haven't done much with ACDelco. Also, I believe that some NAPA Gold parts are rebranded Federal Mogul and Crown items.

Jeep bought some of their electronics & sensors from Borg Warner. The current incarnation of that company, BWD, I think is crap. What was then and what is now are not the same, despite sharing a name.
Just stick with a reputable brand and you'll be fine. OEM for critical sensors.
