Have horn going off when unlocking car, insert key and horn goes off

Jack what year is your Cherokee? I ask because it could be related to the factory alarm system.

Mine is way older but I have heard that there is a TSB out on those late model Cherokee alarms. Call your local Dealer on Monday and check.
If memory serves me correctly the whole module needs to be replaced.
