If you heat the tubing a little with a blow dryer if will form a little better then you have to glue it on.

To make to make the shield i just went up to Home depot and got a peice of sheet metal then made a card board template and cut it and bent it till it fit nice then i bolted it in at the bottom an zip tied it at the top corners. then i painted it black and put electrical tape around the edges so i would'nt cut my arms on it

I see in the back you added a smaller cone filter for the pcv? Was that pretty simple? do you get any blow by through it?
Nice job btw.

Are these technically legal? I was watching true life on mtv-streetracers, and people were getting their cars inspected by cops, and one cop cited a guy for having a mod. intake, and many other things of course. The cop said that it didn't have like an inspection tag or something. I know that we're not streetracing or anything, but jw.

Same basic thing..used the remains of a cut up aem intake pipe my friend had off his car. Sprayed it black. For the bend off the throttle body i just pieced together some parts from Autozone. 90* angle, 2 rubber couplers, some clamps. And a filter cover thing off one of my friends cars.

Pretty sure that was California. And arent there laws regarding performace mods extremely strict?

And i dont think a cop will ever ask you to pop the hood in a jeep lol.

Yeah I just thought it was weird that it happened. We're not all going to be racing our jeeps around with our fancy intakes and getting busted I don't think.

yea they do that here in canada(more back east) but the only time its gunna happen is if you get busted during a street race raid where they block the area and so on in which case ive seen vids where they were checkin every vehicle that gets caught up in the raid

only other time that happens is if you are drivin a "street racer" car and ive only heard of it happening once here in BC either way its total crap cause not everyone who runs modded vehcles is street racing

but like some else has said your its unlikely you will be asked to pop the hood more likely to get hassled for lift, tires and rusty/dented body panels and exhaust or lack of

I drove with my windshield like this for about 2 weeks! https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/bad-way-wake-up-10420/
If you are going to do a cold air intake, do you guys think replacing the pcv hose with a small filter would be better, like KEATON, or running the hose like XJJEEPTHING? The hose is used to help warm the engine up right? I thought if I was going to do this, I saw someone else had done this, but not for intake, but cut your hood, and put some vents in it? I think that would work well, and look BA
