this is the 1.25" class 3 hitch 3500lb. The 2" class 3 hitch 5000lb mounts with 5 bolts on each side(i believe) and hangs down the same amount
btw ignore the pink/purple shackle lol

I just took a BFH to the hitch I grabbed this week from the JY XJ. It was fused pretty good, and that was after having to use my non-ratchet breaker bar on all 6 bolts, from beginning to end. It took quite a bit of banging and some foot-on-axle push/pulling, but I finally managed to land on the ground with the hitch on my lap. GF got a big kick out of it too =P

I have had several U-haul hitches on various vehicles over the years. Plenty strong! Strong enough to hold a complete small block on a rack, for several miles.
Do get the one that mounts to the frame rails though.

I have been looking all over the place for a class 2 hitch, they actually seem to cost more than the class 3 hitches. I was just about to get the POS universal hitch from autozone but I decided to check EBAY one more time and found a valley 65820 class 2 hitch for $114 with shipping. At my age I would rather pay the $114 than beat the crap out of myself in the JY trying to pull a hitch off an old rusted jeep. BTW, the univeral POS one size fits none hitch costs $114 plus tax and the aggravation of installing it.
That said, nothing wrong with grabbing the JY hitch if the opportunity presents itself, if all the hardware is good or readily available.
