Why bother with that when in less than 5 minutes you can STRAP IT TO A TREE and DRIVE AWAY?

We had to do it in my dads f250. He backed into something and sheared the pin off. Hooked it to a tree and slowly pulled away. Came out fairly easily.

Default Easy does it

If you want to keep your hitch and save the frame on your jeep then spray it liberally (i hate that word) with PB Blaster for a couple of days. The more you soak it the better. Then take a 5 LB hammer and start hitting it on the side, top and bottom a couple of good whacks. It should loosen up enough for you to knock it out by hitting back on the ball. If you have the pin out you can even knock in on the ball to help loosen it. Once you get it out (and you will) then take a file and clean the rust out of the receiver and grease it liberally (there's that word again). Never leave the hitch inserted in the receiver.
