monroe load adjusting shocks w/HD leaf springs?
Ok, so I just got my QT HD leaf springs installed and a 1.75" coil spacer up front installed. I've raised the rear end almost 2" with the new springs. My front shocks are sensa-tracs which are about a year old, but my rears are in dire need of replacement. Since I added almost 2" of lift with the springs and spacer, can I use the Monroe load adjuster shocks. Or am i SOL because of the lift. I do lots of towing with a 2000lb boat.
Thanks

Monroe Sensa-Trac with coils
I put the Monroe coil over shocks on my 98 to help my saggy springs until I put new springs in. They lifted the back 1 inch and will give me some time to prepare for the leaf spring replacement. I also put in 2" over bump stops to keep from bottoming the shocks and winding the springs too far.
Rides nice, and only hits bump stops through potholes at high speed. The weight transfer of having the rear lower than the front also inproves the tendency of the rear to be loose and sloppy on the highway.

Where did u get the 2" bump stops? I'm worried that the shocks will be too short since my HD leaf springs are brand new. Will BPE help me in this situation?

I have them in back, and love them. They gave me back the 3/4 inch my worn leafs were sagging. ( I have since added more lift with a bastard pack). I carry around 150 lbs all the time in back, with tools and winch. Since you tow alot, I say go for it. If you end up with more lift in back than desired, just add weight to level it out. (My winch takes care of this for me). Added weight will make the ride less springy too. BPE's depending on which ones typically add a solid inch or inch and a half to shock length. I have Rocky Road BPE's, adding around 1.25 inches to shock length.

@ Winterblues:
Got the bump stops from Rock Auto. OMIX-ADA part # 1828009 (18280.09). $35.00 for 2 including shipping. They keep my worn leafs from over-flexing, And when I install new H.D. springs, will keep shocks from bottoming if I hit a REALLY deep pothole.
