i hit a boulder today while driving around in the desert with some friends. My fan shroud broke, however while I am driving the fan sounds like its rubbing on something. I parked it and attempted to see what it was rubbing on, however in idle its just fine?

 

Is the fan rubbing on the shroud when there is torque on the engine?

 

yes, that seems to be when it is doing it.

 

Sounds like you're in store for some new motor and transmission mounts.

 

Are those hard to replace?

 

Or fan shroud is too close after it broke...
