I’ve had a super high pitched squeak that squeak for just a second then stops”worse when on the interstate.” The whining usually starts once coming to stop with clutch engaged. I’m thinking pulleys any info would be awesome. No codes btw

 

Does it do it when you're parked? With the hood up and manually moving the throttle, can you hear it? Does it do it with the engine hot? cold? both?

Check your belt tension first.

 

Loosen the belt enough to remove it from the compressor and see if the compressor pulley wiggles.

 

Does it depend on whether you have the a/c or defroster on? Just wondering if it's happening when the compressor kicks on/off.

 

Does parked and moving hot and cold. I’m gonna check the pulleys tomorrow. I also discovered and power steering fluid leak sooo……

 

Replaced the alternator and 2 pulley’s. Problem fixed!
