High oil pressure.
ok this has been goin on for a while. everytime i start my jeep the oil pressure jumps to all the way up. and it stays there. my oil is good i just changed it. and its at the right level.
also i have a whistleing noise? but it only happens when my temp gets set. and it will stop when i press the gas. i dont know if this is caused my the oil presure or something else. ive checked all my hoses and havnt found anything. even with the jeep running. that includes intake and fliud hoses. and when under the hood the sound is too high pitch for me to tell exactly where its coming from.

My assessment exactly. When the oil pressure sending unit fails, it almost always fails on the "high side". Because there are some pretty crappy aftermarket oil pressure sending units out there (not all), this is one part I purchase directly from Jeep for the best accuracy/reliability/mating with your factory gauge. Well worth the extra $20.

i think im pretty much saying the same thing, bad dummy gauge. and for the whistle, i was following a thread of same issue, as mine does this as well. its either the bolts on the intake manifold to the block or something very similar. either way, there are one or two bolts on the drivers side down by manifold that tend to loosen and cause a whistling.

i love how simple the lock mechanism on the escort doors are. got my tools and went under the hood to the jeep. started it and heard a light hissing noise from the intake. but i couldnt see any bolts because the heat sheild was in the way. so could it be any bolts or just a certain few?
