High oil pressure?

High oil pressure?
yesterday i was driving my jeep when i noticed that it was running rough and would jump every time i shifted gears. Then i noticed the oil pressure was ranging between 60 and 80 which is maxed out on my gauge. The oil level is fine and there is no appearent problem that i can see, whats wrong?
