Anybody know how to over ride the high beam fog light set up? I would like my fog lights to still be on while my high beams are on for added light. If yall dont know, got any idea as to which wiring diagram i should try to find?
Thanks in advance

I dont have factory fogs on my XJ but did on my old Grand Am. I ended up wiring the fog lights come on with the ignition so if the car was running the fogs were on. The switch on the dash could still turn them off anytime as well. Originally the fogs would only work if the parking lights or low beams were on and they shut off when the high beams came on.
To do this I found the wire that went from the headlight switch to the fog light switch and then on to the fog light relay. I cut the wire between the headlight switch and fog light switch and ran a wire from the fog light switch to a slot in the fuse block that had power with the key on only. It worked beautifully and I could shut them off easily when I did not want them on and they would stay on when the high beams were used.
Be aware though that I believe that it is a law that the fogs must turn off when High beams are on. Never once had a problem with it here in CT but in states that have mandatory safety inspections this may be something they check for and might fail you if the fogs stay on along with the high beams.

Generally speaking, if you need fog lamps, you do not want full beam headlamps! You'll white yourself out (it's like being inside a well-lit Ping-Pong ball...)
I think it's silly that there should be a regulation for it - I prefer education over regulation any day - but it seems that no-one in charge wants to actually teach people why something would be a bad idea...
