Default Hey! im back.. and got a new question

i need a the firing order on the 88 cherokee.


I changed the distributor cap and rotor and put the wires on the cap wrong, and now i can figure out how to fix it!

1-5-3-6-2-4

Dist. Rotation: CW


Looking at the cap from the front:
#1 at 9 o'clock
#5 is at 11 o'clock
#3 is at 1 o'clock
#6 is at 3 o'clock
#2 is 4 o'clock
#4 is at 7 o'clock

Most caps have a mark showing #1

So from the front of the inline 6 is cylander 1 then it goes in order 123456? till number 6? the last cylander?


im trying to figure this out i need to by 4 pm est tomorrow i work then...

1 is up fronr 6 is in the back

Im Still having problems. my cap is not marked with thre number1 cylander. i found online a picture of the 4.0 with the disty right next to it and its got the screw points on it but they are like 45 degress off of what mine are..

I got it. Whayt i did was just take the old cap and look to see where number one was and it worked

Hmm....that's the same diagram they had in the fact. svc. manual that I was looking at. Lemme take a pic of my 92 C&R and I'll label #1. Gimme a few mins.
