Default hey everyone

just joined the site and i got some questions that hopefully you all can help me with. i have a 90 cherokee with the renix motor. i want to swap my intake to a 99+ style one. but im not sure if this will work. if it will is is a direct swap or do you have to do some modifying. also wondering about the T.B and exhaust manifold. there's a guy on ebay who will bore my stock T.B. from 55mm to 63mm but it say 91 to 04, is there a differance between the 90 and 91 style. same with the exhaust. i want to get the apn header for my heep. but it also says 91 and hewer. same question as before. is it the same of in 91 did they change someting with the motor. any help is greatly appreciated

The motors are very different on the top end, dude. Your Renix motor has the injector holes built into the head. The 4.0 motor from 91 on had the newer HO style top end where the injectors holes are built into the intake manifold. The 99 and newer intake is the same way. You probably could use the 99+ intake on your Renix motor but, I'm not sure what you could plug the old injector holes with. You can also use the 91+ exhaust manifold too. You would have to drill a hole and have a nut, you could thread your O2 sensor into, welded into your "S" pipe right below where it bolts onto your exhaust manifold. With your Renix motor the hole for the O2 sensor is right in the exhaust manifild. The Throttle bodies for the Renix motor and HO (91-95) motor are very different.
