Well I went for the auto-zone $19.95 CB muffler and it sounds pretty good IMHO. Quiet at an idle and just right when accelerating. I think for the price until I can afford a flow master or something like that its a great deal...TJ

I've had CB and flowmasters over the years on V8s and the CB are better in my opinion. the Flowmasters have an annoying drone at highway speeds, sound good the rest of the time but I like the sound of a good Cherry Bomb any day.

I had a Cherry Bomb glasspack like that on my old minivan. WAY too loud for my tastes.
I did put Cherry Bomb TURBO mufflers under my 90 XJ, my 95 ZJ and my friend 99 TJ, all 4.0s. Not too loud, good sound, and a bit more power and only $22 at Autozone...
I have a FlowMaster 40 under my 2.3 liter Ranger and it is almost too loud, but it sounds pretty good. I almost yanked it to put under my ZJ...

they are a good choice for a smooth sound,im thinking of ripping out the old cat in order to get more tone though..a buddy of mine just did the same with the thrush glasspack and it sounds great.

I've got a Flow Master 40 and 2.5" pipe on my XJ. I love the way she sounds all through the rpm range.....but, I had a Chevy Nova back in the day with a SB Chevy and duals with glass packs. You just can't mess with that sweet of an exhaust sound.

i threw on a magnaflow, the only two things i can complain about is the loss in power (i no longer have a cat) and the loss of MPG. the exhaust breathes too well and doesnt give enough back pressure to the motor.
