Hey all, first post here is a ???
So here is my story. I just bought my first jeep. It;s got 253k on the clock. This thing runs like a champ. The tranny only has 70k...so I'm told. The body on this thing is immaculate. Not a spot of rust anywhere. Here in upstate NY, that is a big selling feature..lol.
Here is my question. The electric fan cycles on and off from the moment you start it. This doesn't seem right to me. What sensor does this run off of so I can get a new one to see if it fixes my problem.
Thanks in advance for any help, and this sight

If you have it on any settings where it calls for AC or Defrost it will run the fan.
It's supposed to do that.
Yes it can be annoying but so can boiling over in rush hour traffic if you mess up any customization your thinking of.
Please fill out your jeeps spec. it helps us answer your questions. For instance if you have an older pre 91 this info may not apply.
But I don't know that because you didn't specify your year or let me find it on your specs (found just below where it says My Photos on the left where your name is)

Sorry about that. It's a 99. the heat control is set to off.It just doesn't seem right. Even when I first start it in the am it is cycling on and off. If that's how it's supposed to be,then I'll live with it.

I also have a 99, the fan cycles when the heat or ac is on period, with out it it only comes on when the engine temp gets up past 210ish...thats pretty much the norm
