Default Here's a stupid question...

Is this my only option for an oil cap, for a 90 Cherokee 4.0 or is there something better out there?

I bought a brand new one but, it doesn't feel like it's snug enough and oil still leaks past the seal.

I've never found anything better. I'd like to.

My first thought would be to find a thicker rubber type gasket material and make your own. If that didn't work maybe heat the ears up with something like a heat gun/blow dryer and flex them up a little.

I've thought of removing the original seal and putting an o-ring in and then reinstalling the seal.

I already tried 2 gaskets..........it's too thick and won't seat. I'm still on the lookout for a slightly thicker gasket but, no luck so far.
