i have no clue whats going on my truck is giving me intermediate problems the best way for me to describe it is as i will be fine on second stop at a sign and try to go and ill go and feel like the engine wants to go but cant i accelerate i hear a low humming sound and i think i can feel it coming from the middle of the truck?? maybe its just me?? but i get like drag in the acceleration like something was holding it back the engine and can be felt as i take my foot off the gas the truck really slows down or if i gun it i goes but makes the humming sounds and struggles and as i was pulling over to park i felt and heard a very loud clang sound just one time but now its driving fine anybody have issues like this before
i dont think so it dont feel like a tranny issue ive had a couple diffrent cars that had it go out i know how it feels this feels diffrent
i dont know i think the engine feels fine the brakes to i just had the 2 front u joints replaced i dont know y but im thinking drivetrain it feels like theres something maybe rubbin togther and causing friction

I had part of your problem with the acceleration difficulties. I was chasing it with parts cause our shops here are too everpriced. i changed my 02 sensors and and my throttle positioning sensor and the problem was gone! even the humming sound
the parking brake was funny enough for some reason my first thing i checked... t-case i dont know and the diff i just had the ball bearings changed a few months ago
i also changed the crankshaft position sensor before the diff bearings and the o2 sensor before the cat 3 months ago
oh no i wish i could do that kinda stuff my own i dont have the tools or the place to do it i have a shop do all my big work minor stuff i can do

i'm not sayin that the diff is the problem, but you people make mistakes. i have been a Caterpillar tech for 16 years and i seen brand new stuff take a crap only due to human error. does it do it all the time?
i was thinking of taking it in to the guys that did my diff if my regular mechanic cant figure it out problem is if it is it dont feel like it did like when the bearings went out and no it just started doing it 3 days a go it comes and goes it did it once as pulled in font of my house but when i left it was fine then the next day i stopped at a sign and it started again took it in cuz thought it may be the u-joints taking a crap and binding and had em replaced on my way home it started again but now it dosent do it
