You don't need to undo the control arms to intall 3" springs. Just undo the shocks and sway bar. Then jack the opposite end of the axle up a little and have a assitant push down on the end you are installing.

Additionally, I used this same method for intalling 2" spacers over my 3.5" springs. My stock front setup is top down, 2 stock isolatoters-2" spacer-3.5" springs. I only undid the shocks and swaybar to install. I also it without the assistant I mentioned, I used the stock jack to push the axle down.

Thanks guys! I ended up being able to get them in with a compressor and some help from a few buddies without removing the control arms! Front end is all done, now on to those leaf springs

If you are doing the rear end with new leaf springs, the rear bolts on the leaf pack will be difficult to get out if you have a hitch on the jeep. remove the hitch or cut the old bolts and get new ones from a local junkyard (usually laying around jeeps already taken apart). just a small heads up!!

i made the mistake of completely taking off the bolt to the unibody first, loosen all your bolts then completely remove. my problem now is the lca arent lined up with the axle im going to try wracthet straps see if that will move the axle to the right enough to thread the bolts in..
