Helping a buddy out
96 Cherokee 4.0. Running like crap below 3000 rpm with black sooty exhaust that burns eyes & lungs. Coming to a stop and it almost dies then resumes normal idle speed. Soon as it hit 3000 rpm runs like a bat outta hell. Only code is running lean (bank 1)

Change out your upstream o2 sensor for bank one and all plugs...and maybe also check for vacuum leak/s
You might want to look at all o2 sensors depending on how many miles it has on it
