Default Help on Trim tape removal?!?

So on my 93 cherokee i yanked off all of the fat trim plastic **** which left the adhesive that held it on and some weird tape looking ****. I could peel it off little at a time but that would take weeks. Any suggestions on quick removal??

Razor blade seems tedious. Buddie of mine recommended a heat gun? any pros or cons to using a heat gun?
