help tips crank sensor

im gonna try and do a crank sensor tomorrow anybody have any useful tips to make it easer

I used a lot of extensions, a universal, and a buddy. Someone has to crawl under the Jeep and snake the socket onto the bolts. The other guy needs to lead the socket on there and hold it tight so you don't strip it, because that would be real fun to try and get a stripped bolt out of. When you put the new one in, you'll need to do it from the top and wiggle around till the get the bolts started. Then just crawl under again and have one friend hold the socket on while the other cranks the ratchet. Also, i f your universal is too wobbly and you can't get it on the bolt, you can put a little piece of tape on it to keep it from moving too much. I did mine in about half an hour or so. Good luck.

Remove the front driveshaft, you'll have more space to stick in the arm with the smallest 8mm wrench you have.

unbolt the crossmember at the frame rails and with a jack under it slowely lower it and that will tilt the tranny and engine and give you a better angle on it

I did mine ina 1/2 hr no problem mine is a 89 cherokee,all I did when re installing I put some paper in the socket to hold the bolt nice and snug until I got a bight on the thrreads
