do I have to remove power steering to install new water pump or can I just loosen it up enough to slide pump in,is my first pump on a jeep

You're gonna want to unbolt it and set it aside. Its only a few more turns of the wrench. You don't have to disconnect the fluid lines, but its still a PITA to R&R the water pump without the ps pump in the way!
