Default Help! Shift module needs replacement.

Went to dealership today because check engine light on. No warranty. Told me they need to replace the shift module. Only problem that concerns me is that 2 years and only 15,000 miles ago had the shifter replaced. They say it's not the same thing, which I know but shouldn't it have been fixed the first time and it's not covered anyways because it's passed 12 months since the replacement. Is this accurate or could it be covered somehow by their mistake?

Default Shift Module

Yes it was not really shifting on the highway and all the lights on the dashboard lite up when I was driving i.e. P R N D. It was definitely acting funny. I was just wondering if I should call Jeep customer service. I just don't want to pay for something they should have caught the first time.
Thank you for your response!! I really appreciate it!!

It drives okay....but when I'm driving and going about 70mph it doesn't seem to shift into the next gear. The dealership is fixing it but I was wondering if somehow it was suppose to be fixed back 2 years when I had the shifter replaced.

Oh just about $700 & another $200 to restart the computer. It's all B.S. I'm sure. Let's just say it's been an experience.

Not sure what the tcu is?

I just feel like I'm getting played, big time!!
