Help! Rpm goes low and jeep turns off
I have been having this problem. The Jeep turns on perfectly, as soon as I put in drive, the RPM goes to 0 and the Jeep turns off. It turns on again with no problem but it still does the same once i put it in drive. When i come to a stop (while still in drive) I have to be pressing the accelerator and the brake in order for the Jeep not to turn off. I also smell fuel, but I have not found any leaks. I need help and guidance please.

No, I don't lick fish.
Wait.. so you can still drive it in this condition? Do the RPMs drop all the time when you put it in gear or do the only drop if you don't have your foot on the gas?
At first I was thinking torque converter, but now I think it's a fuel pressure issue. There's either a pinhole leak in the line, the regulator, the rail, or at the injectors.

Check your fuel pressure at the injection rail using a fuel pressure tester. Can rent one from the auto parts store if you don't have one.

Another one would be a smartphone app that lets you lay the back of your phone against a wire to measure Amp draw. lol
Have you checked out the new bluetooth/phone code readers yet? My buddy just bought one and it is cool as heck. Corresponding laptop ware and all for like $45.00.

You know the old saying..."There's an app for that!" lol

No, I haven't yet. I need to get one for my wife's car. My Jeep is OBD1 so it wouldn't work in it. I'm supposed to have a code reader shipped to me to test and review by some company that contacted me through here.
We'll see.

Your primary focus should be on finding the source of the fuel smell, and it's possibly causing the stalling. Check the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose for gas.
