great. i rented a $90 heavy duty pitman arm remover from auto zone, hopefully it works and i have a air gun that has 350 ft lbs of torque, if that doesnt get it off, time to go get the expensive 650ft lbs of torque gun

When I pulled them off the chevy trucks I always had too put a pitman arm puller and maxed out my TI2135 1/2 drive impact and put tension on it. Then I had to heat them up with a propane torch untill it popped. I know heat isn't good on steering parts but by keeping all the force on the puller I used the minimum amount of heat on them. I measured how hot it actually got and it was only around 200 degrees.

1 5/16" I think it is....but big pipe wrench or big crescent will work. And yeah, try tapping around on the arm and the shaft while you put pressure with the puller.
