I was trying to go throughw water and make it up hill and i hit it going atleast 20 to have some momentum and then the engine just died. water was about 3 ft high when i opend doors it filled up atleast 8in of water.
Engine will not start. no clicking. battery seems to be working fine. thinking its the starter or water in the engine.
what should i do now that i have it home to make sure the water gets out and can fix it ASAP

also the air filter was moist and there was some water on some wires. lights work, windows do, radio and speakers work so im thinking it cant be the fuse box.
Water problems are never fun, my friend. It's good that your electronics work, but I'd disconnect the battery. Pull your starter, and jump it really quick to see if it still works. Make sure you have your foot on it, or have a friend hold it, because they jump around from the torque. If the starter still works, check out your starter relay and everything between the starter and the key.
Bolt the starter back up, disable the fuel pump or some part of the fuel system, remove the plugs, then crank the engine while spraying a bit of WD-40 into the throttle body. Not too much though, just enough to give the cylinder walls a light coating. We want to protect against rust, not hydrolock the engine. After this is done, disconnect the battery, and let it dry for three days.
I've never had a car not start after following this procedure.
My buddy had an infiniti I30 that took a swim. I was able to get it started... but since it was still running when it went underwater, it sucked up water, hydrolocked, and bent connecting rod #1 almost into a 'U'. Let's hope your intake was high enough to prevent this.

If you got water inside the engine, Pull the plugs and turn the engine over to pump out the water! You'll need to change oil, and check fuses, axles, everything. Anytime you go into water do it slow!! If you are lucky you may not have bent or broken any push rods, or valves. Good Luck, hope it turns out OK.

You use a wrench on the crank nut. If you got water inside the motor, you can start looking for a new motor or look into a rebuild. You can, and mostlikely always will do some serious damage if you injest water. Nuke valves, or even connecting rods.
Before doing much to the truck, drain the fluids. All of them. Depending on how high up all your vent tubes are, you could also have water in your diffs and trans. You'll wanna nip that one before it gets bad, otherwise you'll have more crap to fix.

No, that is your throttle body, and its the start of your intake (not including air box and such). That means water is most likely inside your cylinders.
Use a shop vac there, get as much out as possible. Pull one plug at a time, and use the vac at each plug well.
I'm sorry to say this, but chances are if you have water in your intake, you are probably looking at a new motor/complete rebuild.

That's your intake dude, u don't want water in their. Pull all your spark plugs, then turn it over. At least a couple of 360's. Then change the oil. Put it back together and start her up. I hope u didn't do any real damege. But, it sounds like you did. Good luck.

Here's what I would do..
Pull all of the plugs out.
Get the starter working.
Crank engine for a good 30 seconds to spit all the water out.
Change oil reinstall plugs.
Fire it up and go from there.
