could i fit 38's on my 96 cherokee XJ with an 8 inch lift & cut out bushwackers?

It will be very close. You wouldn't be able to flex much

I can fit 38s on mine and have with 7.5 and cut fenders but the bushwackers aren't big enough for anything over 35-36". If you don't mind not having any up travel it is possible and you WILL have to swap the axles.

i have a 7" lift with 33's i had to trim an inch of fender for flex so wouldn't hit

just remember flex goes 2 ways. up and down

What axles do you plan on running the 38s on?

I run yj rear flairs they don't look great but don't look like crap. Anyway 4 1/2 in of lift 33 13.50s on 10 in wide rims (15s) I can stuff any of my tiers. Note that my bump stop is my oil pain! But it can be dune some people might say its to tall and the tiers are to big but I'm not one of them. But if you run stock axles with it. On rocks you will have to be eazy on the throttle. If you just ham on it you could go through front u joints. In the mud not an issue.

That's a lot of lift for 33s. I am running 35s with 7.5 and getting ready to put on my new 38s.

i plan on going larger with tires when the time comes when i do i will do more fender trimming to accommodate for flex
