Default help please

recently when i drive my xj it sputters bad. it idles fine but just when i accelerate about 20 to 40 mph it misses and sputters idk what it can be?

any ideas?

It can be severl things but the two that I would suggest is the cps and clogged cat.
iac can cause it if it is not working and tps can effect the timing if it is going out.

thanks for the feedback but i dont really know what all the abbreviations mean what are the parts you listed again? lol what could be clogged?

sorry about that,cps is crankshaft position sensor,located top left of bellhousing,it is looking at the tone ring on the flexplate,it can get dirty and cause this,it is one of the most important sensors on the jeep,cat is catalytic converter,iac is idle air controller,tps is throttle position sensor,both located on the throttle body.
