Angry Help!!! No Start

Hey guys. Well I went to get into my jeep this morning and it wouldnt start. It cranked and cranked but no start. Was a common thing that causes a cherokee not to start. I resently replaced the spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, and ignition coil. I sprayed some starting fluid and it seemed to sound like it wanted to start so im thinking it might be the fuel pump. What do you guys think.

if it wants to start with staring fluid then it hs to do with the fuel system might try to listen to see if the pump is coming on.

Check to see if you have spark after you check the fuel pump. If you have spark but no fuel then the CPS may be bad. Unplug and replug it several times then try it. If it starts then replace it ASAP.

cps is common, but i thought it would have no spark with bad crank sensor. no injector pulse to, its been a while, anyone else know for sure.

I have replaced the motor, cps. pickup coil, map, tps, and several other sensors for temp and such...Let's see starter, alternator, everything on the suspension and steering is new except knuckles, u-joints, wheel hubs and UCA's damn my whole front end is almost completely new..lol It get's expensive..I keep a spreadsheet of all my expenses and well I am now so deep I could never get what it's worth out of it..

Suggestion on the fuel pump and sending unit assembly buy the best you can get and don't get a bosch pump...do no skimp or you will be replacing it again...mine is a bosch PO replaced it just before I bought it and it's going out already,.....also replace the fuel filter at the same time.

before digging deep, how's the battery? did you try jumping it? I've seen this quite a few times. It barely starts and they person goes on a replacement spree and gets all these new parts and it doesn't start. It turns out to be a battery with not enough juice to start it. Check it out before replacing stuff

Its is depressing somewhat but I like the idea of how much each thing cost, what parts I replaced, and total amount I put into it. And its not the battery. The battery is fine. Im almost positive its the pump.

CPS needs to see at least 3 pulses before it puts any fire to your injectors and any spark to the plugs. Just so you know there is fuel pressure with a bad CPS but to fire to either the plugs or injectors.
If you don't hear the fuel pump check the relay before you go slapping a new pump in the tank. Relay is on the passenger side fenderwell. You can switch it aroung with another one there. Should be at least three relays there in that panel. HTH
