Chances are your TPS is toast.
My jeep misfired or something..like crazy, rpms fell to 0 and even if I floored it the rpms wouldn't raise/rev..cat glowing red..let it site for 24hrs and its back to normal?
Did it last night as well..somethings getting wet and its reaking havic when it does..idk what it could be though?
Something gets wet and the jeep feels like its misfiring..it won't rev up at that point at all, doesn't matter how far the pedal is pushed. It starts fine but sounds horrible..sounds like its only firing on a few cylenders when it happens honestly. Cat glows red..idk! Dries out and I'm good to go!

it could also be your distributor cap got water in it, i had it happen with a 86 ramcharger, only hit on a few cylinders. take it off, spray it out with WD 40 and wipe it out. may fix it, may not, but i have had it happen so it could be that.
