Default Help...I'm stumped again.

So, recently I went out and barely made it home. It would pop and crack and backfire with any little bit of throttle.

I changed the CPS out and now I can drive around the block, it revs fine in neutral and runs normally while pushing through the gears.

Now, the issue is still there when I push the clutch in and try to rev up a little bit. It's like the ignition cuts out. It won't go over 1000rpm without spitting and backfiring and going nuts.

I'm a little confused once again. Trying to get it fixed so I can sell it...since I really need a pick up truck right now.

Forgot to add...89 Renix 4.0 AX15/231

Look inside the dist. cap and see if there is any water or moisture in there.

No water in the cap, it's brand new. Also new is the rotor, wires, plugs, IACV, MAP, O2, ICM, Coil, TPS.

It could be low fuel pressure

Fuel pressure is perfect, was the first thing I checked. The NSS was bypassed before I got it. I have no idea how it was done...but if it was a problem, it wouldn't start at all right?

The confusing part is that it will rev to the moon in neutral. It drives down the street fine now that I changed the CPS. The problem now is any sort of rev with the clutch pedal pushed down.

There are no wires in the area of the pedal to short out, there's no clutch switch as that was also bypassed by the PO.

Yes. There is no clutch switch in the vehicle at all. It's not safe, but I'm the only one that drives it, so it's not a big deal. I believe the po bypassed it when he did the ba10/ax15 conversion. The connector for the NSS is just hanging out with nothing connected to it also.

The trans was loose. It no longer shakes and it runs great once again. Thanks for helping me brain storm ladies/fellas.
