Help ID this Jeep Trailer Hitch
Hi All! I recently picked up this trailer hitch at a garage sale for 5.00. The sign said it was for a jeep but the lady didn't know and her son wasn't around. For 5.00 I couldn't pass the chance that it may fit my XJ, it didn't. Any ideas what this may fit? The only numbers I could find on it were 52125047 and 52125048 on the left and right mounting brackets.

The best thing to do is see if it has who made it and go on line and put in those numbers and see what comes up. It will be almost impossible to know what it will fit just by looking at it. If someone says that they know what it fits by looking at it. They are full of it.

Ok you own an XJ and you now own a mystery rec. hitch. Simple solution here folks. Take the hitch get on your back under your XJ and hold it up under your XJ's rear. See if it clears the tank and lines up with the frame rails. Chances are it won't. Usually hitch's that are curved like that are meant for vehicles with a spare mounted under the rear.

I would have bought it for $5 as well but it is clearly not made for an xj. It looks as more of a car hitch. Did you measure it by chance?
