Default Help... I can't get the Harmonic Balancer off.

So I tied to replace the HB today because it seperated & came apart, but there is not enough space behind the HB for the puller to grab onto. Has anyone had this problem. Help, I'm stuck.

You need the bolt on type puller. Then remove front bumper(makes it much easier). There is a hole behind there to give you lots of room. Just be sure to pick up a harmonic balancer installer so you don't mess up any treads. Don't even ask how I know. Lol

It's like a steering wheel puller. Harbor freight.

Well I got it done, the HB has been changed, and with no help from the pullers. There wasn't enough room for the hooks to grab onto the pulley with the first puller and the HB had 3 holes in it, NONE OF WICH WERE THREADED, so the 2nd puller was usless. So with a series of chisels 3 different sized hammers a little finness & some patience, I tap, tap, tapped my girl free of that rotten part. After that everything just flowed. So as of Sunday new water pump, t-state, rad hose & harmonic balancer, I wonder what she has planned for next week?
