Help with hitches?
I want to see pictures of hitches on jeeps. I have a 2000 stock Cherokee and I know I want a class III, NOT tube, and one that doesn't hang down to the ground. all the pics online are just of the hitch so i have know clue what it will look like on the jeep.
Thanks for the help!

ok it's an older 93 XJ, but this class 3 Draw-tite has seen its share of pulling loads over 5500lb, stuff+trailer from FL to WI.. 1800 miles and even with the proper tongue weight and distributing the load evenly.. I wouldn't try it again.. but I was desperate to take all I could when I moved. Jeep took the run like a champ and I'm grateful for her. Man the 17's need a bath too

Thanks for the pics! It helps a lot,
Any one now where i can find a stock hitch to buy? or at least one that looks similar (what brand?) that's the look I like. really close to the bumper.
I wish a junk yard around here had one!!!

Since our XJ does not have the factory tow pkg (most don't), just thought a class III would be extra weight/overkill. Went with a U-Haul class II (3500 lb) for $110 and called it good.

whats the difference in having the stock tow package?
is it only gearing and a tranny cooler?
I think it will be worth the extra $20-30 bucks to get the class III and later if I want to tow bigger IL get a tranny cooler.

Also factory XJ tow package was Hitch, Wiring and delete rear swaybar.... Gearing and HD tranny cooler and HD springs are seperate options..... Dana 44 non c-clip - 30 spline, 1.31" diameter shafts, 8.5" ring gear, 2.75" axle tube - used 87-89 on some(not all) XJs equipped with towing package.
