Default help! : frozen Ebrake

as you know where getting into the winter months up north. lastnight night froze at 26 degrees. driveing home i hear a noise comeing from my axle.. i thought i broke some random part just driveing along. but i got it home and inspected everything this morning and its my driver side break that makes the noise. so i took off the tire and the drum break is stuck on. any ideas on how to get it unstuck? i tryed smashing it with a hammer and prying it off but no luck.
and no the ebrake is off when i tested it.
any ideas?
thanks guys!

Then it's not the E brake. It's more likely your drum cylinder that's frozen up.

Look at the drum, see if there are holes in it that are threaded, If there are, find a few bolts that will fit into the holes and torque them down. They will act as a puller and pop off the drum. I think mine are 12mm, but I dont remember. Also, not all manufacturers use them

If you are gonna smack it with a hammer use a dead blow if you have it
