Default Help with Dana 35 rear axle

Hi,

I am in the process of replacing rear wheel bearings. The nuts ( 4 ) that keep the backing plate in place were badly corroded and I decided to change them.
I would like to know if anyone could tell me the size and the pitch of the thread. I can use 9mm x 1 tap and it goes good with the nuts, however when I tried 9mm x 1 die nut it is not possible to start it on the studs. 10mm x 1 die nut is a little loose on the studs.
Hope to hear from somebody soon and I am thanking you in advance for the help.
Boris

Hi Guys,

Thank you for all your help.
As I said before 9 X 1 was too tight on the studs, 10 X 1 was too loose and when I tried 3/8 NF did not fit properly.
Pulled out a micrometar and measured the stud, 9 X 1 tap, 10 X 1 tap and 3/8 NF tap and the only one that was close was 3/8 NF.
Used the tap, bought new nuts and everything is fine.
Again thank you for your help.
